Join us for Technical Presentation: High Altitude Water Transportation

At the 80th CDDA AGM and Convention in Quebec City, May 25-27, 2025, Alexander Christie from Drillware Tools will present High Altitude Water Transportation.
Alexander Christie, a Professional Engineer, will examine the complexities and specialized requirements of high-altitude water transportation. Diamond drilling at high altitude presents unique challenges for water delivery to the drill. At the request of a client, Drillware tools built a water transportation system that would move 240,000 cubic meters of water per day to 2,600m, gaining 374m of elevation. The system required creative solutions to reliably transport water across a region of extreme weather and permafrost. Alex’s presentation will explore the unique challenges and creative solutions implemented to complete the project.
Alexander Christie entered the industry as a high school student sweeping the floors for Atlas Copco Exploration Products in their Drill Assembly plan in North Bay, Ontario. Alex progressed from there to building drill heads, and eventually drills. During his undergraduate studies he worked in their engineering department. After graduation Alexander moved west to join the team at Hy-Tech Drilling and started their Research and Development Department.
Alex brings a wealth of experience as a presenter to the CDDA AGM and Convention. He presented at the Resources for Future Generations Conference about closed loop diamond drilling, he has participated in panels discussing innovations in northern British Columbia, and he regularly participated in online corporate presentations with as much as 400 people in attendance.
Registration is still open for the 80th CDDA AGM and Convention! Don’t miss your chance to attend this exciting event and catch Alex’s insightful presentation on High Altitude Water Transportation.
