Mining Health and Safety Conference

Workplace Safety North is hosting their 21st annual Mining Health and Safety Conference April 9th to 11th in Sudbury at the Holiday Inn, 1696 Regent Street, Sudbury ON.  This year's conference celebrates the 90- year anniversary of Ontario Mine Rescue. Each year, about 300 attendees gather to learn and share their knowledge about mining health and safety, and network with industry professionals. Eastern Safety Group Meeting

The Eastern Safety Group Meeting will be held in North Bay at the Best Western Hotel & Conference Centre North Bay located on 700 Lakeshore Drive. The Meeting will be on Thursday, May 23rd, 2019 from 9:00 am – 4:00 pm. CDDA Eastern Safety Group Members and affiliate organizations will meet to discuss accidents and safety within the industry. NATT Safety Services will be offering a discussion on specialized helicopter rigging and slinging, more topics to be announced. This years’ AGM and Convention will be taking place in St.John’s Newfoundland June 2nd – June 4th. St.John’s is known for its warm, welcoming and storytelling culture. Distracted Driving Community Forum

This will be a great event to send a representative from your organization and have them bring the information back to your teams. Community members are invited to talk to road safety professionals and first responders about distracted driving.  Attendees are encouraged to ask questions, talk about their experiences and discuss opportunities to protect drivers, cyclists and pedestrians who share their roads.  Seating is limited.
