Alex will present Decanting Centrifuges in Diamond Drilling. Alex will leverage his 14 years of deployment of centrifuges on diamond drill sites to present a practical approach to understanding how centrifuges operate. He will bring listeners on easy-to-follow thought experiments which will give them tools to understand decanting centrifuges. Listeners will gain tools to help them understand what is happening inside a centrifuge unit, how to control the process, and how to get more out of the process with flocculants and coagulants. With this knowledge listener will also have a better understanding of the capabilities and limitations of centrifuges on their jobsites and be better able to advise their clients on whether its right for their jobsite
Alexander is the General Manager of Drillware Tools, operating under Pilot & Co. He is a registered Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in British Columbia and Saskatchewan, he holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Automotive Engineering and brings over 24 years of experience in the mineral exploration industry.
A career R&D leader, Alexander heads a team of engineers, mechanics, and technicians focused on pushing limits and delivering practical innovation. He bridges strong engineering fundamentals with real-world drilling experience, regularly working alongside crews in the field to ensure solutions perform where it matters most.
He holds multiple filed patents and has led the development of industry innovations, including the Wireline Battery-Operated Rod Cutter and the Multi-Use TTB plug.
Under his leadership, Drillware Tools develops innovative drilling solutions and offer centrifuge rental systems developed for drillers, with drillers, engineered to improve safety, efficiency, and operational performance.
