The 81st CDDA AGM & Convention May 24-26, 2026 in Victoria, BC is pleased to announce one of our Featured Speakers, David Mason, BrokerLink Inc.
David will present on General Insurance Trends for 2026. The presentation will be a discussion on the market dynamics of the general insurance industry and how they affect the terms and conditions of member’s insurance programs including trends on emerging perils and insurer responses. The presentation will include general recommendations towards members on how to administer their insurance programs to minimize their exposure to loss in the most cost-effective fashion.
David is a seasoned general insurance professional with more than 30 years of industry experience. He began his career with two major Canadian insurance companies, where he held progressively senior roles in underwriting and marketing before transitioning to his current position as Senior Account Executive and Branch Manager with BrokerLink Inc.
Throughout his tenure at BrokerLink, David has developed specialized expertise within select construction segments, designing customized insurance programs that address the unique and complex exposures inherent to these operations.
David’s involvement in industry trade associations extends well beyond the provision of insurance solutions. He is actively engaged at the board and membership levels, contributing to the advancement of the industry through collaboration on regulatory and operational issues.
A strong proponent of continuous professional development, David consistently seeks opportunities to expand his knowledge and deepen his expertise, particularly within construction and resource-based industries. He holds the designations of Fellow of the Insurance Institute of Canada (FCIP) and Canadian Risk Manager (CRM).
