April Supplier Member of the Month: Sling-Choker MFG

The Canadian Diamond Drilling Association is proud to spotlight Sling-Choker MFG as our April Supplier Member of the Month. We spoke with their team to learn more about their products and services, their experience supporting the industry, and how their CDDA membership assists their company.  

Can you tell us more about your company? 

Sling-Choker MFG was established in 2004 in Thunder Bay, Ontario, and has since become a trusted supplier supporting diamond drilling and industrial operations across Northwestern Ontario. 

Strategically located in Thunder Bay, the company provides reliable access to essential equipment and services for remote and demanding work environments. Sling-Choker serves a wide range of industries, including mining, pulp and paper, steel fabrication and erection, manufacturing, and retail. 

With a strong focus on quality, availability, and customer service, Sling-Choker MFG prides itself on delivering dependable solutions tailored to the needs of its clients. 

What Products and Services Do You Offer? 

Sling-Choker MFG offers a comprehensive range of products and services designed to support industrial and remote operations, including: 

  • Diamond Drilling Supplies: Drilling fluids and a large in-stock inventory of downhole tools and service parts  
  • Heating Solutions: Water heaters and indirect heaters from Flagro and Cantherm  
  • Lifting & Rigging: Full range of wire rope, chain, and synthetic rigging products  
  • Hose & Fittings: Industrial and hydraulic hose solutions  
  • Safety & Workwear: Hi-visibility apparel, work boots, PPE, fall arrest systems, and AEDs  
  • Lighting Solutions: LED vehicle and work lighting, including heated LED options for ice prevention  
  • Material Handling & Filtration: Industrial material handling equipment and filtration products  
  • Packaging Supplies: Sample bags including plastic, paper, Mattex, and rice bags  
  • Inspection Services: Crane inspections, repairs, certifications, and rigging inspection services  

To further support remote operations such as diamond drilling, Sling-Choker also provides shipment consolidation and palletizing services, helping reduce shipping costs.
