CDDA Contractors Program Enhancements

Sudden & Accidental Pollution – Covers the contractor offsite for environmental cleanup and costs, up to the commercial liability limit (traditionally $5,000,000).

Non-Owned Aviation Extension – Covers defense costs related to maintaining helipad or airstrip, if the contractor is brought into an action for damage.

Forest Fire Fighting Expenses – Pays for costs associated with firefighting from the Ministry of Natural Resources and others that bill the responsible party after an incident (traditionally $5,000,000).

Underground Collapse Exclusion Removed from Wording – Traditional Insurance excludes collapse while working below the surface of the ground. Our program removes this restriction on coverage.

Contract Reviews – We review your contracts to ensure compliance with the insurance coverage as mine owners often attempt to pass liability to contractors clearly outside the insurance program.
