In recognition of Men’s Mental Health Awareness Month, the Canadian Diamond Drilling Association is proud to honour David Bradley, President of Forage RJLL Drilling, as a 2025 recipient of the Bring it to the Surface Ambassador Award.
Bring it to the Surface is an industry-wide initiative dedicated to raising awareness, encouraging meaningful conversations, and providing mental health and wellness resources across the diamond drilling and exploration industry.
David Bradley has been a champion of this initiative from the very beginning. A respected leader in the industry, David has consistently used his voice to advocate for open conversations around mental health—driven by a deep, personal commitment in honour of his brother. His dedication serves as a powerful reminder of the human impact of these issues and the importance of ongoing support.
David has spoken at key events for the Bring it to the Surface Initiative including speaking as a panelist at PDAC 2024 and at the 79th CDDA AGM and Convention, at both events, he highlighted the critical role leadership plays in building a culture of empathy, care, and mental health and wellness safety in the workplace.
One of his most meaningful messages is the importance of asking a sincere “How are you?”—and being truly willing to hear the answer. David reminds us that as leaders, it’s not enough to ask the question; we must be present, listen with compassion, and create space for real conversations. This kind of leadership not only strengthens workplace trust and well-being—it also supports long-term employee retention.
David, thank you for your courage in sharing your story and for your unwavering advocacy. Your continued support of the Bring it to the Surface initiative is deeply appreciated—and your team at Forage RJLL Drilling has every reason to be proud.
