What is Your Experience in the Diamond Drilling Industry?
“I have over two decades of experience driving innovation and efficiency across exploration and mining operations. I started working with Diamond Drills in the James Bay Lowland in the mid-2000s. Since then, my career has taken many twists and turns.”
How do your prioritize safety within your company?
“Making safety integral to all aspects of the business. Lead by example, strive to improve continuously.”
What is Your Approach to Leadership?
“I have a situational leadership approach. Meaning our industry, is at times, volatile and can throw various challenges at you. Adapting your leadership style based on the specific situation and the needs of the team members is key to finding repeatable success.”
Jimmy recently participated in a webinar on behalf of Boart Longyear, Hosted by Jody Conrad, CEO of Krux Analytics, Supplier Member of the CDDA. The webinar, “The Future of Drilling in Mining: Workforce, Technology & Transformation” included a panel of senior leaders from across the mining ecosystem — including mining operators, drilling service providers, and technology innovators. It explored how drilling programs must evolve to meet the demands of a changing industry.
