The Canadian Diamond Drilling Association is pleased to announce Geotech Drilling as our October Contractor Member of the Month. We interviewed a member from their company to learn more about their services and membership with the CDDA.
Can you tell us more about your company?
In 1996, Geotech Drilling was founded in Prince George BC, servicing engineering consulting firms in the region. Fast forward nearly 30 years and Geotech Drilling has grown to be full-service drilling provider in mining and other markets in Canada and around the world. Utilizing a diverse fleet of specialty and purpose-built equipment, Geotech is positioned to provide drilling services through the lifecycle of exploration and mining projects. From mineral exploration, feasibility studies, construction, infill drilling and monitoring to reclamation work, Geotech has the people, the equipment and the experience to service our diverse client base. From the permafrost in the arctic, to the mountains of BC, the jungles of central America, or the deserts of south America and Africa, Geotech has been providing drilling services to our mining clients to support exploration and development. Truck, Track, Skid, limited access, Heli or Marine, Geotech has the expertise and equipment to overcome the complex challenges in mineral exploration and mining across the globe.
In 2024, Geotech Drilling joined the ConeTec group, combining to further support the long-term requirements of mining projects, while remaining sharply focused on being the drilling contractor of choice for our employees and clients, focusing on industry leading safety programs, technologically advanced equipment and solution-minded employees.
What Products and Services Do You Offer?
Geotech provides full life-cycle drilling services for our mining clients. Hosting an extensive and innovative fleet of surface and underground drills we provide all types of drilling services, from exploration diamond drilling, geotechnical investigations, construction and foundation drilling, dewatering, dam safety reviews and environmental monitoring services, our experience and equipment support our clients for the life cycle of their projects.

The employees of Geotech are the core of our business. Our knowledgeable, skilled, experienced and professional staff are the key to successful project delivery. Challenges are common in our industry, and the staff at Geotech are safe, efficient, client focused and resourceful. It’s impossible to spotlight any single employee within our group, but recognize that everyone has, and continues to have a great impact on the continued growth and success at Geotech.
What do you value about being a CDDA Member?
As a member of the CDDA we are connected with progressive and forward-thinking industry partners. The CDDA’s work towards Health and Safety, training and regulatory issues is important for all drilling contractors. The CDDA’s work to advocate for members and promoting opportunities and strategies to align safety, training and environmental stewardship across the industry improves our industry entirely.
