The Canadian Diamond Drilling Association is pleased to announce TactEx Industries as our November Manufacturer Member of the Month. We interviewed a member from their company to learn more about their services and what the CDDA membership means to them as a company.

Company Background and History
TactEx Industries was founded on Vancouver Island, British Columbia, by a team of drillers, fabricators, mechanics, and designers with decades of combined field experience. After years in the exploration sector, the founders recognized the need for a more adaptable, integrated approach to drilling equipment. A drill that could transition seamlessly between heli-portable, shack, and track platforms without compromising power or reliability.

Built from this vision, TactEx developed the X-10, a modular surface diamond drill that adapts to any platform through a shared feed frame and interchangeable components. Every rig is designed, welded, assembled, and tested in-house to maintain tight quality control and ensure the same rugged standard across every build.

Today, TactEx stands as one of Canada’s innovative exploration equipment manufacturers, focused on efficiency, safety, and performance. The company continues to expand its product line to support drillers in the field with reliable equipment and responsive after-sales support.

Overview of Products and Services
TactEx’s product lineup centers around its modular X-10 drill, available in shack (SX-10), track (TX-10), and fly shack (FX-10) configurations. This design allows exploration teams to reconfigure the same drill system for different terrains, reducing logistical complexity and cost.

TactEx also provides a long stroke version, with a range of features, it offers flexibility and reliability for diverse drilling projects. Each system incorporates advanced safety features, intuitive hydraulics, and sustainable benefits throughout. TactEx offers equipment that not only performs in the field but empowers crews to work more efficiently and safely

Why Being a CDDA Member Is Important to TactEx?
For TactEx Industries, membership in the Canadian Diamond Drilling Association (CDDA) represents more than affiliation, it’s a commitment to progress within the drilling community. The CDDA plays a critical role in advancing safety, training, and technical standards across the industry, aligning perfectly with TactEx’s mission to build equipment that supports those values.

By being part of this network, TactEx stays connected with professionals who share the same goal: pushing the limits of exploration through innovation and collaboration. Membership reinforces TactEx’s belief that lasting industry progress comes from sharing knowledge, raising standards, and supporting the people who drive the work forward.

Tact Ex is dedicated to developing equipment that enhances efficiency, safety, and performance, and we’re proud to count them among our members, aligning closely with our association’s mission. Learn more about their work by visiting their website.
