Call for Nominations: 2026 CDDA Safety Appreciation Awards

The 2026 CDDA Safety Appreciation Awards will once again recognize the individuals who go above and beyond to lead, innovate, and champion safety in our workplaces.

The awards will be presented at the 81st CDDA AGM & Convention Awards Gala on May 25, 2026, in Victoria, British Columbia. We are now inviting nominations from CDDA member companies to help us celebrate those who truly make a difference.

Nominees must be employed by a CDDA member company and demonstrate a commitment to safety. Self-nominations are strongly encouraged because safety leadership deserves to be recognized, even when it’s your own.

Nominees should demonstrate safety practices in one or more of the following areas:

  • Developing or promoting cutting-edge technology to enhance workplace safety

  • Implementing innovative methods to document and communicate safety procedures

  • Initiating and leading new safety training programs

  • Applying lessons learned from past incidents to prevent future occurrences

  • Demonstrating outstanding safety leadership across the industry and more

The 2026 CDDA Safety Appreciation Awards will be presented in the following three categories:

  • Contractor Safety Award

  • Manufacturer Safety Award

  • Supplier Safety Award

About The Author
