The Board of Directors and membership of the Canadian Diamond Drilling Association proudly honoured Executive Director Louise Lowe for her 25 years of outstanding service during a special recognition held at the 80th CDDA AGM and Convention in Quebec City.
For over two decades, Louise has been at the forefront Association, providing steadfast leadership and strategic direction. Her work has shaped the CDDA into a strong, united voice for the diamond drilling industry in Canada. In her role, Louise is responsible for the overall leadership and management of the Association in collaboration with the CDDA Board of Directors. She oversees the day-to-day operations, manages the Association’s budget, builds and maintains relationships with industry partners and members, and ensures the continued delivery of the CDDA’s mission and vision of promoting safety, standards, innovation and health and wellness in the industry.
Louise has also been instrumental in curating the CDDA’s signature events and initiatives including the annual convention, annual overburden golf tournament, Bring it to the Surface Initiative, DEC Certification Program and annual safety technical meetings—bringing members together and promoting innovation, safety, and best practices across the industry.
Beyond her leadership within the CDDA, Louise is a respected voice across the broader mineral exploration industry. She collaborates with various other associations and training programs including: Association for Mineral Exploration (AME), the Prospectors & Developers Association of Canada (PDAC), Mining Industry Human Resources Council (MIHR), ICAMP a not-for-profit innovation centre operated by Canadore College and Workplace Safety North contributing her insight and advocacy on behalf of the diamond drilling and exploration industry.
