Can you tell us more about your company?
Canadian Drilling Fluids (CDF) is a Canadian-owned and operated company supporting mineral exploration and drilling operations. Backed by decades of hands-on industry experience, our growing team is committed to providing high-quality products, responsive service and practical solutions that help keep our customers drilling.
As we continue to grow, we have expanded both our team and distribution points to better support customers wherever their projects take them.
What Products and Services Do You Offer?
CDF offers a complete range of high-quality drilling fluid additives, customized mud programs and technical support for mineral exploration and drilling operations.
We also offer innovative heli-portable Drilling Fluid Recycling (DFR) systems designed to reduce fluid consumption, recycle water on site and minimize downtime through remote troubleshooting capabilities.
Can You Tell Us More About Your Team?
CDF may be a small team, but the experience behind it is anything but small. From drilling and drilling fluids to downhole instrumentation, product development, logistics and technical support, every member of our team brings something different to the table. We are pleased to introduce our team members.
Tony brings more than 25 years of international drilling experience, from remote exploration programs in Western Australia to civil and exploration projects across Southeast Asia. With extensive knowledge of drilling and fluid systems, Tony is usually found working alongside his Jack Russell sidekick.
Robert has spent more than 25 years in the industry in roles ranging from driller and downhole instrumentation specialist to mud doctor. His experience has taken him from the sub-zero temperatures of Quebec to the deserts of Africa. When he’s not working, you may find him in the pilot seat of a plane.
Terry brings more than 20 years of global drilling experience, from civil projects in Melbourne to exploration in the highlands of Papua New Guinea. Today, his focus is on product development and ensuring CDF products meet the high standards of quality, performance and value our customers expect.
Tanya has more than 10 years of experience in the drilling fluids industry and manages all things “mud” before they reach the job site. From administration and production to logistics and everything in between, she keeps the CDF mud machine running smoothly. In her rare time off, she can be found with her golden retrievers—or answering to “Boss Lady.”
Matisse, the newest member of the team and a “chip off the old block,” specializes in servicing, training and troubleshooting downhole survey equipment. With a hands-on approach and strong technical mindset, he spends his spare time rebuilding chainsaws, fixing quads and tackling his next project.

Ignacio Martinez, originally from Chile, keeps CDF’s warehouse operations running smoothly and ensures products are ready to get where they need to go. This August, he’ll also be taking on an exciting new role—first-time dad!
