Norcat Surface and Underground Diamond Driller Assistant Training

Program Length: Five Weeks

The Surface and Underground Diamond Driller Assistant Common Core Program was developed by NORCAT in
compliance with the Ontario Ministry of Training, Colleges, and Universities (MTCU) standards. Upon successful
completion of this program, each trainee will obtain accreditation and will be registered with the MTCU for Surface
and Underground Diamond Driller Assistant (#770200 and #770150).

This five-week (200 hours) program combines both theory and practical hands-on, experiential learning in
an operating mine environment. Trainees will learn to operate various pieces of equipment and the safety
requirements and government guidelines that you must understand to successfully complete the program.

Confederation College Surface Diamond Driller’s Helper (Training & Development)

The Diamond Driller Helper’s is a comprehensive program that prepares individuals for the safety and operational demands of work in the field of diamond drilling.  This program will prepare you for employment in the industry as an entry level Diamond Driller’s Helper.  Training delivered will be consistent with the requirements of the common core training guidelines for the drillers.
