May Contractor Member of the Month: Swick Mining Services

The Canadian Diamond Drilling Association is pleased to announce Swick Mining Services as our May Contractor Member of the Month. We interviewed a member from their company to learn more about their services and membership with the CDDA.  

Can you tell us more about your company?  

Swick Mining Services (Swick) was founded in 1997 in Western Australia and has grown from a small underground long‑hole drilling contractor into one of the world’s leading underground mineral drilling companies. Now part of the broader Perenti group of companies, Swick operates across Australia, Europe, America, and Canada and Today, Swick is recognized internationally for delivering safe, high‑performance underground drilling solutions, underpinned by a strong culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and operational excellence. 

Can you tell us more about your product & services?  

Swick specializes in underground mineral drilling, delivering high‑quality drilling solutions tailored to complex geological and operational environments. Swick’s core services include underground diamond drilling, grade control drilling, infrastructure drilling, underground RC drilling, and specialized high‑flow drilling programs. 

Can you tell us more about your workforce?

Our success is driven by our people.  With over 15% of our workforce globally reaching 10+ years of service this is a testament to the strength of our culture and the dedication of our people. Swick takes pride in developing a skilled workforce from the field to the support teams in the office. 

What do you value about being a CDDA Member? 

Being a member of the Canadian Diamond Drilling Association is important to Swick as it aligns with our commitment to safety, training, and industry best practices. CDDA membership supports collaboration across the drilling industry, promotes high professional standards, and helps strengthen the future workforce through education and mentorship initiatives.
